Meet Amber

Hi, I’m Amber

I believe leadership is about showing up, listening and acting with integrity. That’s how I’ve lived my life, and it’s how I will continue to lead.

Mandurah has been my home since I was 13. I’ve lived, worked, and with my husband we have raised our three teenagers here. For more than 30 years, I’ve been proud to serve the community I love. Whether it’s through volunteering, business, council, or simply showing up where I’m needed, I’m all in.

My husband and I have owned a local business here in Mandurah for over 20 years, so I understand both the pressures and opportunities that come with running a business in our city. A strong local economy means more than just jobs. It means a community that feels supported, connected and proud.

To truly represent a community, you need to be part of it. I spend my days alongside people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting local causes and listening to what matters. I completed the Diploma in Local Government, the highest local government accreditation available, because I wanted to be fully equipped to serve our community well.

I’ve experienced firsthand the complexity of social issues, growing up in a home affected by family and domestic violence and addiction. This has developed me into a strong and resilient person. I am determined, hardworking and resourceful.

I know our communities’ social challenges are multifaceted and cannot be solved with words alone. They demand action, guided by policies that are strategic, realistic and forward thinking.

I’ve spent my adult life working in and for this community, as a Personal Advisor and staff facilitator at Centrelink; in school chaplaincy; running a local business; and more recently serving as an elected member, City of Mandurah for the past four years.

All my lived and professional experiences have shaped how I lead, which is with compassion, accountability and a focus on finding practical, long-term solutions.

Real progress happens when we put aside personal bias, come together and work across all levels of government and every part of our community. That’s what I’ve always done, and it’s what I will continue to do.

I’m running for Mayor because I care deeply about where Mandurah is heading. I have the energy, experience and commitment to lead with integrity and to get things done, to build a future where every person feels safe, included and proud to call Mandurah home.

Mandurah is more than just where we live—it’s who we are. I am a leader who listens, connects, and takes real action for people who call this city home.

I am running for Mayor of the city of Mandurah, for more transparency in council, to strengthen the heart of our city, and to build a future that works for everyone.

Amber's Approach
Integrity — Connection — Action

Purpose With Action

I’m running for Mayor because I believe in Mandurah — in our people, our potential, and the power of good leadership to shape a city that works for everyone. As a current Councillor, I’ve listened, learned, and led with heart. Now, I’m ready to take the next step — to lead our city with vision, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose.

Community Leadership

Leadership is more than a title — it’s showing up, listening, and doing the work. I’m proud to have earned the trust of our community as a Councillor, and even prouder to have stayed grounded in what matters most: people. I lead with empathy, honesty and action — always striving to bring community voices into the decisions that shape our future.

Your Future Mayor

As your future Mayor, my focus will always be on creating a city that reflects the best of who we are — connected, compassionate, and future-focused. I will champion local jobs, strong neighbourhoods, and smart growth — while protecting what makes Mandurah special. My commitment is to lead with accountability and heart, always putting our community first.

Fighting for Mandurah

Mandurah deserves a Mayor who doesn’t just listen, but stands up, speaks out, and gets things done. I’m here to fight for local families, small businesses, safer streets and real opportunities for our next generation. I’ve never been afraid to roll up my sleeves — and I won’t stop fighting for the community I love.

“This is not about politics. It’s about people. It’s about ensuring every person has the opportunity to be heard.”
