VOTE 1 FOR AMBER KEARNS
Hi, I’m Amber!
I believe leadership is about showing up, listening and acting with integrity. That’s how I’ve lived my life, and it’s how I will continue to lead.
Mandurah has been my home since I was 13. I’ve lived, worked, and with my husband we have raised our three teenagers here. For more than 30 years I’ve been proud to serve the community I love. Whether it’s through volunteering, business, council or simply showing up where I’m needed, I’m all in.
My husband and I have owned a local business here in Mandurah for over 20 years, so I understand both the pressures and opportunities that come with running a business in our city. A strong local economy means more than just jobs. It means a community that feels supported, connected and proud.
To truly represent a community, you need to be part of it, and I am. I spend my days alongside people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting local causes and listening to what matters. I completed the Diploma in Local Government, the highest local government accreditation available, because I wanted to be fully equipped to serve our community well.
A Plan of Action for Mandurah
priorities are centered around what our community needs to thrive.
COMMUNITY SAFETY
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
STRONGER LOCAL ECONOMIC GROWTH
YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES
CONNECTION & STRONGER SOCIAL BONDS
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
Prepared to Lead.
Grounded in Experience.
I’m putting my hand up for Mayor because I care deeply about our community – every voice, every neighbourhood, every challenge and opportunity. I want to ensure Mandurah continues to grow in a way that stays true to who we are: a city with a village heart, where people feel seen, heard and supported.
Leadership in local government is about more than making statements — it is about doing the work, understanding the system, and staying connected to the people it affects.
